All Dolled Up

Another image from the Christmas decorating event I participated in this year. This display was done by a local doll club. Their is a little Dog in front of the fireplace that has been in their scenes for over ten years and it’s like seeing an old friend each time. He has managed to maintain his youthful physique all these years though.

  1. Thanks for sharing!!
We didn’t enjoy the displays as much this year but you and your wife really did a lot of work on yours! I expected you guys to win.

    • Thank you! We did do a lot for a two day show. I tend to lean toward going overboard with stuff and I figured it’s once and done. I remember when it was two weekends which I think is nicer all around really. After we finished, I thought ours was too busy so I went and bought snow to soften it up, which helped. I knew our theme was not going to equal the Cricket display which is more of a traditional home for the holidays feel. One thing that bothered me was when we went through the tour, musicians were playing and everyone listening was standing blocking our display. One Amish family had like 10 members. My wife tells me relax already. In years past I had trouble deciding which to photograph, but either people dont get it or they are too lazy to put forth the effort and I have noticed a decline in quality.

      • Agreed. When we got there, musicians were in a circle in the main room, couldn’t see anything, so we started on the third floor, and they had moved to the campfire by the time we got downstairs. I grew up a mile East of Poole Forge, and happy to support them, so will keep going.
