No matter how many times I travel the back roads in Amish country, I am constantly amazed how many strange things I come across. This teen had jury rigged a wagon and small engine to make his own motorized transportation. He drove this thing several miles across the country while cars passed him left and right. He probably has a plow for it in the winter.

Am I correct to presume the “stick” on the left of the uhh… vehicle is the brake and his left hand is controlling the throttle?
Yes he had his one hand running the throttle the whole time,but the bar must be the brake or maybe a parachute? I could not figure out what the box underneath did? maybe an ejection seat?
Ingenuity, garnished with a dollop of insanity. That jury-rigged and Jerry- built contraption/death-traption gives a whole new meaning to words like “heedless” and dangerous.
