There is a road you can barely see that runs between this old farmhouse and the barn in the distance. I stopped to ask if I could snap a photo and after some evaluation I came up with this angle which I thought worked nicely.
Hi Mr. Reese,
This message is not about the above photo, though it is lovely.
Yesterday I received the 7/23/25 issue of The Shopping News of Lancaster County. I loved your photos on the cover of the watery activity at the Martin family pond. They are all wonderful photos, but especially the first one of the eight girls jumping into the pond together! That is an outstanding picture, and perfect for these hot and humid July days.
Thank you!

Hi Pat, thanks for the message. I was a little surprised they actually left me take pictures. I shot a bunch of diving board shots, but something I completely missed was the fact that almost every kid swimming held their nose when jumping in. I certainly never did that at that age so I had a lot of shots where all you saw was hands over noses which was visually tough.
So vivid and beautiful. Nice composition! Keep shooting and posting.
Thanks Marland!
You’re welcome!
