It’s a shame all these pumpkins go to waste every October in Lancaster county. I guess its a combination of more pumpkins than there is demand, and keeping prices higher to get more bang for your selection. I guess it is easier to bring in a wagon load to sell at 5 dollars a pop than it is to bring 5 wagon loads in at a dollar a pop.
or production exceeds demand
these also fertilize the field.
I never knew you had such a depth of farming knowledge?
I’ve wondered the same. Seems like we’re overloaded with most everything here! Some days I want out, to a slower and quieter location!! That’s another good capture Donald.
Still slow enough for me but looking back when I was young, we didn’t need a bank, pizza shop or thrift store every hundred yards. The one thing I wish was gone was phones that waste so much of young peoples lives!
