This is one of a few images I got while spending two days traversing Vermont on my way home from Lake Placid.Fall color was late this year,so I was coming through at least a week before any real color appeared. I spotted this place on a back road and asked to roam around the property, which the owner gladly obliged. The property had about 6 red barns on it plus this rustic rock wall. A classic Vermont scene

Very beautiful photo. Fall colors are bright. The landscape with red wooden house could be from Finland, because there are so many similarities.
Sounds like I would like finland
Beautiful. The colors are amazing.
Thanks, but if you ever get to see vermont in a real good year, you will know what amazing is.
Maybe I’ll get there some day.
It is worth the trip.Do maine, new hampshire and vermont if you get the chance.
Gorgeous. My daughter just moved to the North Country of NY this past Spring and I drove up this fall, picked her up and we made a leaf-peeping loop down through Vermont (Rt. 100 mainly) and back up through NY. Unfortunately, it rained every single day of our trip – although that had it’s own beauty. Plans are to do something similar next fall. Any input to locations / drives I should try would be greatly appreciated! I’ve loved browsing your art.
Wish I was more adept at offering travel advice up there. half the time I just drive and look a lot. My favorite fall drive in new england is the kancamagus highway in new hampshire. 30 miles of boulder strewn river and fall vistas with no services, signs etc. goes from lincoln new hampshire to conway, which is close to mt washington.
